About us

Music is learning.     Music is joy.

Junior Jive is the best South African educational music and movement programme for Pre-schoolers and Foundation phase learners

Junior Jive Music and Movement programme is an authentically South African Programme where we focus on preparing the children for their future, by developing cognitive, social and emotional skills, through the medium of music and movement.

Children learn through movement and enjoy music – that is why we use these two mediums as our learning tools, to develop children holistically. We don’t only focus on music concepts and music knowledge, we also develop gross motor and fine motor skills, as well as other perceptual skills. We do all this through creative play and exploration and have a LOT of fun every week!

The Junior Jive programme starts for babies of 4 months old and is presented to children of all abilities in different school environments. Join the growing number of schools around South Africa in bringing joy to learning with Junior Jive.

Junior Jive Empowers Women to Become Business Owners

The first thing I have experienced is, as a business owner, I am able to work in a field that I really enjoy. I am able to put my skills and knowledge to use, and I gain personal satisfaction from implementing my own ideas, working directly with customers, and watching my ideas help my business succeed. As a business owner, being my own boss is liberating. More importantly, I have the freedom to make the decisions that are crucial to my own business success. I am also blessed to have the guidance of the other Junior Jive business owners and the Founder and Creator of Junior Jive behind me, supporting me through this journey. Owning a small business gives you certain lifestyle advantages, being a single mother it has given me more time to spend with my special needs son in the afternoons, giving him that time he needs with me. All in all being a Junior Jive business owner has been an amazing experience so far and I am truly grateful to have this opportunity. It has given me a chance to live and succeed in life. I am truly blessed!   – Sharnay Elburg

At Junior Jive we focus on bringing music and movement to children all over Southern Africa.
