About us

Junior Jive provides music and movement programmes for children from the age of 4 months to 8 years, in South Africa

Junior Jive is the best South African educational music and movement programme for Pre-schoolers and Foundation phase learners

 – we help prepare your child for “big school” through the wonderful medium of music. We don’t only focus on music concepts and music knowledge, we also develop gross motor and fine motor skills, as well as other perceptual skills. The cherry on top is we do all this through creative play and exploration and have a LOT of fun every week!

The Junior Jive programme starts for babies of 4 months old and we present our programme to children of all abilities in different school environments. Junior Jive is educationally based and focuses its activities on the holistic development of the different age groups. The Junior Jive classes are presented by teachers who are passionate about your child and about education.

Our Team

Sharnay Elburg

The first thing I have experienced is, as a business owner, I am able to work in a field that I really enjoy. I am able to put my skills and knowledge to use, and I gain personal satisfaction from implementing my own ideas, working directly with customers, and watching my ideas help my business succeed. As a business owner, being my own boss is liberating. More importantly, I have the freedom to make the decisions that are crucial to my own business success. I am also blessed to have the guidance of the other Junior Jive business owners and the Founder and Creator of Junior Jive behind me, supporting me through this journey. Owning a small business gives you certain lifestyle advantages, being a single mother it has given me more time to spend with my special needs son in the afternoons, giving him that time he needs with me. All in all being a Junior Jive business owner has been an amazing experience so far and I am truly grateful to have this opportunity. It has given me a chance to live and succeed in life.

I am truly blessed!
